What Happens at the 5 ½ Year Visit?

Around a year after your second visit, we will arrange a convenient time for you and your child to come for your 5 ½ year old visit at the Family Research Center on the UNCG campus. Again we are interested in mother and child interactions, so it is necessary that the mother attend the session with her child.

When you come, you and your child will participate in many of the same fun games as before. Your child will get to play with many fun toys, puppets, books, and puzzles. While your child is playing with one of our research team members, you will be helping us by answering some questions about your child and your family. You will also get to play some games with your child and will be able to watch your child during the entire visit.

The 5 year old visit is one session that will last around 2 ½ hours. You will receive a $80 check in the mail following the visit and your child will receive a small toy as a token of our thanks for your participation.

We have a great team who is looking forward to working with you and your child once again. If you are ready to schedule your 5 ½ year visit, or if you have any questions, please contact us.
